Featured Church Stained Glass Project: St. Edward’s

We’re pleased the announce the completion of our successful custom church stained glass project. St. Edward’s Church, located in Pennsylvania, was looking to create a memorial piece for its late pastor. They wanted to replace the large window in their observatory that overlooked the main street intersection in order to hide the view during service. The church contacted various companies and decided to go with ours for its project.

Church Stained Glass Process for St. Edward’s Church

We conducted the design process electronically due to the pandemic. The church had different sketches completed of the intended tree of life design they initially wanted. During the design finalization process, our artist overheard Father Rick mention that he’d like to do another stained glass window in the future portraying Jesus on the Sea of Galilee because that was his favorite teaching in the Bible. She decided to create the design and after presenting it, the church and Father fell in love and chose this as their final design. The church had donors funding the entirety of the project. We wanted to add depth and dimension to the panel which we accomplished through painting and shading. We also added different figures with Jesus and depicted calm waters as a symbol of the calm after the storm. Regardless of some of the installation challenges, we found with the existing curtain wall, we were able to create a continuous design with figures that were larger than life-size.
